Jardin d’Acclimatation
The Jardin d’Acclimatation celebrated China and welcomed the Dragons and Lanterns festival in collaboration with the Shanghai Yuyuan gardens. As night falls, dragons and fantastical creations and folk dances light up the garden’s pathways. Dating back to the Middle Empire, this event took place for the first time outside China, marking the close ties between the two countries to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and China and the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism.
Belmond
A jewel in the heart of a tropical jungle, Maroma, A Belmond Hotel, reopened after a stunning renovation led by the Tara Bernerd & Partners international design studio. Channeling chic hacienda-style living, the 72 rooms, suites and villas blend Mayan culture with local materials and traditional patterns, celebrating Mexican craftsmanship and design. With a deep respect for the surrounding environment, Belmond brings the spirit of the Riviera Maya and the Yucatán to Maroma.
Cheval Blanc
Cheval Blanc has since the inauguration of its first Maison in 2006 cultivated a delicate alchemy between local architecture and timeless elegance, transforming each Maison into a vibrant art gallery. In a new video series entitled “Creative Encounters”, renowned talents including Frank Gehry share their creative process and reveal secrets behind emblematic artworks, including the horse sculpture at Cheval Blanc Paris.
