MÉTIER OF CREATIVE DIRECTOR
As a creative visionary, the Artistic Director is the custodian of a House’s heritage.They supervise the creation of collections and help develop the brand’s image.
DISCOVER MÉTIERS OF DESIGN & CREATION
- Artistic Direction position holders are responsible for overarching artistic control of the company's design choices and overall artistic vision. They manage design teams and studios.
- Product, Graphic & Industrial Design teams are in charge of ensuring aesthetic and user-interface aspects of products. They define a process of design applied to products that are to be manufactured. Their expertise is based on typography, the use of signs and images, and the art of page layout.
- Product Design Creation/Studio teams are in charge of imagining and creating objects meant for mass production. This encompasses the physical aspects as well as the functionalities that a product should possess. They may also source components and are in relation with research & development teams.
- Image, Photography, Film & Digital Design/Content teams are in charge of managing everything that is created and produced for communication purposes on diverse mediums. They are responsible for executing the creative vision or content on relevant support within timing and budgetary constraints.
- Architecture Space Design & Planning teams are in charge of designing and integrating the creation, design and feasibility of a physical environment for Retail or Hotel environments. They have the capacity to convey the brand's DNA and image values, enhancing the value of the products or client's environment.
- Windows & Creative Visual Merchandising (VM) teams are in charge of managing the art of staging products by reconciling the objectives of commercial efficiency, aesthetics and brand image (particularly creation of shop window). They define central guidelines to be applied and executed regionally both for windows and internal visual merchandising.
- Workshop / Ateliers teams are in charge of working directly on the products with a high level of craftsmanship, under guidance of Design and Studio direction and prior to manufacturing production. They mix hand craftsmanship or technical machines and in all phases of product development or production.
OUR TALENTS
I’m the Creative Director for Groupe Les Échos. My role is to oversee the visual creation teams across our media group, representing 55 people, including creative directors, graphic artists, teams in charge of iconographic research, etc. Our objective is to respect our graphic standards, guarantee the overall visual quality of our content and ensure the creative direction for the presentation of information in our different media. In short, I’m responsible for the way the daily information we publish looks.
